I would greatly appreciate any research and response that provides insight into this issue. I would appreciate the forwarding of my concern to those that may begin the developement of Norton v2 to support Windows XP 64 even more :. I am also aware of the Norton Enterprise Ed.
I will pass along this information to the product teams for supporting Windows XP bit in future version of Norton product. Thank you for letting us know your concerns. I spoke to a customer service rep a few days ago asking about compatibility of Norton Home products for Windows XP x64 and was told that Norton v2 is compatible for "EVERY" Windows x64 even though there are only 2 Microsoft Windows right now for personal computers.

Norton system requirements say -. It seems that sales information and technical information aren't even close to being on the same page. At the bottom of the page refering to the bit OS only section why is XP for bit OS only refered to over and over?
Would the next Norton Rep please investigate this and verify if these products are bit compatible. I appreciate the confusion in how the operating systems are listed on that page. I'm in the process of setting up a new Windows XP 64 bit computer. I went to the Symantec site, as I have done so many times before, to get some stuff. I paid for Norton v2 and downloaded it.
This is my first 64 bit system. Sorry if I was not clearer about this. I have spent many hours on this PC, most of which I cannot charge the client for, since I consider a great deal of the work to be a "learning experience. I have installed AVG 8. Any suggestions would be received with much appreciation!
