But in some cases, a 24v battery can be used. In any case, the battery gives DC, which means the flow of current will be continuous from the batteries negative terminal to the positive terminal. In DC, the flow of current will be only in one direction. DC is extremely helpful, however, batteries can normally provide somewhat DC power with low voltage. Several devices require extra power to work correctly than DC can offer. Thus, this is all about DC to AC converter , how to convert dc to ac.
A converter enhances the DC voltage to alter it into AC before transmitting it out to give current to a device. Primarily, these were intended to perform the reverse for converting AC to DC. The top side of R1 will be at dangerously high voltage and ground-referenced to other things in your house.
You can easily be killed by touching that node and something like a water faucet. There are other less obvious ground points in your house, so it's nowhere near as obvious as avoiding faucets. You show the bottom of R1 as ground, but that's just what you call it.
It might also be lethal, depending on how exactly the VAC is wired, and which way around the plug is installed. One or more diodes may even blow up if you try to connect your ground to real ground. So how to fix this mess? Frankly, someone with so little understanding of electronics and the dangers of high voltage shouldn't even be here. Go buy a off the shelf adjustable power supply that goes up to the voltage you want. Your circuit is flawed in that instead of using R1 as an open-loop shunt voltage regulator, you should use a series pass regulator instead, sort of like this:.
None of the values of the components have been fleshed out, but the topology is there. R2 may be made active and servo the output voltage to where it needs to be without constant fiddling with the knob.

This is what the entire module looks like after soldering process has been complete.
Notice how most of the connections have been made using solder traces and very few jumper wires. Be careful of any loose connections because of high voltage risks. The inverter is now complete with both the modules complete and attached with each other. This has been successfully working in charging my laptop and powering a small table fan simultaneously.

Would like you to change square wave ac output on this project to smps for pure sine wave with arduino or microcontroller program?
Thanx Alex. Reply 8 months ago. Hello thanks for your feedback! Yes, sine wave inverter is definately possible using arduino or microcontroller, I am also working on such a solution but you can get a lot of information on the internet for sine wave inverter. Thank you very much Utsav for this great sharing. Very instructive presentation. Reply 9 months ago.
Question 1 year ago on Step 6. Hi, thanks for a superb solution I have been looking for. Answer 9 months ago. I would like to do the same thing. Thank you. No, I did go another path. This primary voltage is then stepped up to a higher voltage depending upon the number of turns in primary and secondary coils. It is also the same as a single dc to ac converter transistor invert-er only difference is that it has two transistor 1 2v inverter.
Its power is two times better than a single transistor dc to the ac power inverter The transistors which we have used are also very powerful so these transistors can not heat up while working. It is a circuit diagram for the PNP transistor.
